Milestone in floating wind: How the TetraSub transport proved industrial scale capabilities
Over two weeks in June 2026, seven steel components for Stiesdal Offshore's TetraSub floating wind foundation travelled by road from Welcon's factory in Give to the Port of Hvide Sande. The heaviest weighed 509 tonnes. The operation used public roads, an existing steel factory and a regional port, no dry dock, no purpose-built infrastructure.
